Many Little Things….
by wantunn on Feb.11, 2005, under Ramblings
Just a collection off odd happenings that happened in the office over the week …
Well, first off, we had lunch at funan centre on Monday and as we were leaving, we had to choose from one of 2 bus-stops in the vicinity. Being typically lazy, we chose the nearest one.
Bad move.
Apparently the 2 bus stops, although on the same stretch of road serviced different buses and as luck would have it, the one we picked had only 1 bus back to the office. After waiting a l.o.n.g. time and no bus in sight, my collegue suggests let get on this “next bus and walk back a bit”. Long story short, the bus takes a turn AWAY from the office and we ended up getting off and taking a cab back.
In short, we took both a bus AND a cab to go back to the office which was within walking (15 mins) distance in the first place.
Next day, same collegue splashes water into another collegues face.

Swimming

Brought Cordelia swimming yesterday after a long while (due to the bad weather). She had a lot of fun and surprisingly, it wasn’t too difficult to get her to leave when it got too cold.
Giving directions
by wantunn on Jan.22, 2005, under Ramblings
My wife is the absolute worst person for giving directions. Her sense of direction is great amd she will normally never get lost but she can’t give directions to save her life.
Case in point, we went down to chinatown yesterday night to see the decorations but the car park was super crowded so I asked her to go ahead first with my daughter and mother in law.
After I found a spot, I called her and asked her where they were and the conversation went something like that..
Me: So where are you?
Wife: We’re on the bridge.
Me: The one at Chinatown point?
Wife: No the other bridge.
Me: Which other bridge?
Wife: The one with a lot of decorations lah.
Me: So where is it from the Chinatown point one?
Wife: Just walk towards the light?!?!?!?!?!
I’m looking for my wife and daughter, not having an out of body experience.
To be fair, I’m the exact opposite of my wife. I can give great directions but I could get lost going to the toilet.
At home.
Chinese New Year Celebrations 2005
by wantunn on Jan.22, 2005, under PAD
Took this photo at Chinatown. All the decorations/celebrations for Chinese New Year are underway.
This (coming year) being the year of the rooster, it’s reflected in many of the building and street decorations.
