Interesting thing I learnt over the weekend

The possible causes of appendicitis are many, but no one really knows why it happens.
At some hospitals here, you need to queue for an available operating theatre.
It’s faster to operate if they suspect you have appendicitis then to send you for tests and wait for the results.
If they operate they take out your appendix whether or not you have appendicitis or not because:
1. They don’t want to confuse any doctors in future who sees the scar and expects the appendix to be gone and
2. In case it was a mild case which may recur in future.
Lastly, we can apparently get on fine without our appendix. Which leads me to ask, what else in our body do we not really need (besides all the extra fats in my case).

No idea whats up with the golden horses but the ship is huge. 13 decks plus the smokestack means the ship is easily 15 stories high.
I’m glad the toto draw is on friday this week.

Cos I got flashed repeatedly early this morning. If today toto sure cannot tioh one.
P.S. If you’re wearing a short skirt and sitting down, you’re not supposed to sit with your legs wide open. Even if you happen to be at the gyne where most of the other people are gals. Spare a thought for the gamblers.

Surprise Surprise

I surprised myself today, not that I finished the ride but that I actually managed to get up (on a Sunday morning no less!) for a 9am ride at Changi village.
Overall, it wasn’t too tough, about 14 km with some uphill but nothing too extreme. I’ve definately had much worse in the Gym riding classes. The main difference is that my butt hurts a lot more. I guess thats the difference between a stationary and non stationary bike.
As an added bonus, I managed to put the bike back together after getting back home and a generouse dose of lubricant seems to have cleaned up the moving parts somewhat too. Not sure if thats supposed to be the case but I’m not complaining.
Anyway, lets see if I manage to keep this up. I’ll need to go for at least a few more rides before I decide whether or not I need a new bike.
On a side note, the Canon EF 100mm/F2.8 USM Macro is to die for. Argh.. another item on the itchybackside list.
That’s some serious shit

Seriously, how can a 2+ week old baby poop hard enough to clear the changing table all the way onto our bed?
Changing your bedsheets at 3am is definately not my idea of a good time.
