Period .

by on May.30, 2005, under Ramblings

So we were having breakfast today and talking to one of our un-named (but linked :P ) collegue when we asked her about her impending resignation date to take up a higher calling (i.e. tai tai).
Her reply: “I don’t have a date. I have a period.”
Take 2 panadols and call me in the morning (on second thoughts, don’t).
Update:
Her reason for making the comment: “The egg was very hot!”
Go figure :D

Hi-5

by on May.28, 2005, under Family Time

Brought my daughter to watch Hi-5 today. Tickets were about $40 each after UOB discount so for me, wife + daughter it added up to more then $120. Well, I guess the easiest way to make money nowadays is through the kids :P In fact, the emptiest section in the hall was the cheapest one right at the back. Kids have it good these days…did I really just say that? Aw geeze… suddenly realised how old I’ve gotten.
In any case, she enjoyed herself very much as it was a pretty interactive show, kids are encouraged to stand up and dance and they teach them the dance steps as well. I guess thats what matters the most.
P.S. They were selling cardboard wavey hands and balloons @ $15 each; Jup Jup (sp?) dolls @ $45; programs @ $10 and t-shirts @ $30 (I think)… man.. cost more then the rock concerts.

Yosemite

by on May.12, 2005, under PAD

Taken in Yosemite during my recent trip. The sky was held back with an ND Grad and the weather was absolutely freezing with snow on the ground. Having said that though, the view is absolutely breathtaking and I would definately want to take another trip back there in future.
