Happy Birthday to Callie & Cordelia
by wantunn on Sep.23, 2005, under Family Time
23 September happens to be the birthday of both my wife and daughter.
Celebrated with my wife at Ikukan (recommendations thanks to Varf) and we had a birthday party at Cordelia’s play group today.
Interior decor at Ikukan
Appetizers. I have no idea what some of these stuff were
Sushi. Or more stuff I don’t eat
Fois Gras and Tofu. Stuff I do eat, but can’t pronounce.
Peppercorn tuna. Which I ate, cos it didn’t taste like fish. Which leads me to ask, why not use chicken in the first place then?
Teppanyaki. Why does japanese food always have yucky in their names? teppen-yaki, yaki-tori, reli-yaki…
Main course, suki-yaki (there we go again) and charcoal grilled beef
Dessert. Garlic ice cream (which I loved but Callie couldn’t stand) and pudding (coffee I think)
Whats a japanese dinner without some Sake.
Finally, birthday girl number 1, looking a little distracted

More evidence of Singaporean’s who can’t drive. This fellow came up to a one way street and proceeded to take the wrong way out.
