9 minute call from Singapore to Vegas cos me all of S$0.171.
That’s 17 cents for a (nearly) 10 minute long distance call.
Aside from a bit of distortion early in the call, everything worked fine once I got transferred from the hotel receptionist to the room.

Unexpected Trip

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was forced to make a last minute trip up to Malacca on Sunday. Things I learned on this trip.
1. It takes me just about 2.5 hours to drive from the second link to Malacca.
2. It takes my wife much less time to drive back from Malacca to the second link.
3. When you go to sleep, the driver will drive at “traffic speed”.
On an unrelated note, managed to have the chicken rice ball at one of the new restaurants there. Food tends to taste better there I think or as my cousin says, “just eat, don’t look around too much and it’ll be fine”.

Ans: When he wakes up at 4am for his feed and after that, while his mum is burping him, he crawls over, lies down on you and nods off to sleep there.

Had a great holiday in Bali, especially at the Royal Pita Maha where we stayed 2 nights in a villa.

Why do I itch?

So I’ve been experiencing a long bout of allergic reactions (and I have no idea what’s the trigger) for a couple of months now. I had no idea what caused them until I had a conversation with my wife yesterday in the car.
I was commenting that I would have known her for 10 years by next year and she replied that we’ve been married for 7 years already (from the registration of the marriage). This was followed by the question of whether I have the 7 year itch.
And I certainly do. As evidenced by the rashes that pop up every 4-5 days if I don’t take the anti-histamines.
Therefore the answer to the question “Why do I itch” is that it’s because of my wife.

X-Ray

Got a mild scare today when Caden was getting his bath. We noticed a huge swollen area at his chest that seemed to have appeared overnight.
What followed was everyone running down to see Dr Yip and getting him a chest x-ray (at 4 months!). Thankfully everything turned out fine and it’s just normal “bone struture” according Dr Yip, although we’re still trying to figure out how it appeared mysteriously.
